Trauma Care Groups

Restavek Freedom’s trauma care groups provide a safe space for children to process and cope with these emotions and experiences.
“The children have needed a moment like this, to unburden themselves of the heavy daily burden they carry,” says Rouzier, a Restavek Freedom Child Advocate who is helping to lead the groups. “[Our trauma care groups provide] an opportunity not only to talk, to express what gnaws at their hearts, but to feel psychologically relieved.”
