Good news from our advocates in Haiti this week: schools have begun to reopen! This is mostly happening in the rural areas so far, although a few schools in Port-au-Prince have opened, too. Our advocates have delivered books and uniforms to the kids in our program, and they are so excited to be back in school.
While roads are still blocked on the main highways, fuel has been delivered to gas stations in some areas, making transportation possible. Advocates are hard at work meeting with children, and community members are traveling long distances to attend English classes at our Learning Center in the south.
All this to say: hope is growing. Thank you for your prayers and support as we work to continue serving children and communities in Haiti during this challenging season.
